Queensland Heeler saves little girl
February 20th, 2010 categories: Beyond Real Estate
When I read in the paper that a little girl from Cordes Lakes was saved by her dog, I wasn’t surprised that the hero was a Queensland Heeler.
Last Thursday evening, three year old Victoria Bensch wandered away from her Cordes Lakes home, fortunately she was accompanied by her dog, Blue, a Queensland Heeler. Wearing nothing more than a t-shirt and no shoes, Victoria and Blue spent the night enduring freezing temperatures while her family, friends and authorities searched for her. She had been missing for nearly 15 hours when she and Blue were spotted by a DPS helicopter Friday morning.
Blue has been credited for saving little Victoria’s life by keeping her warm and safe during the cold night.
I own two Queenland Heelers and they are smart, loyal and protective dogs. The dog in the picture is my three year old Queensland, Ruby. Our hat is off to Blue for saving little Victoria’s life.

Fewer people are falling behind on their mortgages
February 19th, 2010 categories: Home Buyers, Home Sellers, Market Update, Prescott Real Estate Trends
Friday is my favorite day of the week. Even if I have to work all weekend, there’s something good feeling about Friday’s.
Friday is the perfect day for good news, so when I read that fewer people are falling behind on their home loans I felt it would be a good post for the day.
According to MSNBC Business headlines, the number borrowers falling behind on their mortgage payments dropped sharply at the end of last year, a sign the foreclosure crisis is beginning to ebb. This decline is notable because delinquencies usually rise this time of year.

These numbers are for the Month of January and as you can see, January was a slow month for sale pendings. The average sale prices were calculated over the past six months, average list price is calculated by the current number of active listings. If you would like to see the statistics for your neighborhood and it’s not on this list, please let me know and I will post the numbers.
